Rooftop solar is one of the best ways to save on your energy bills, and right now Mesa County residents have an opportunity to take advantage of our abundant sunshine! The 2025 Solar United Neighbors Solar Cooperative is looking for members of our community to join together to get a discount of between 10-20% on their solar installations, and we have just a few weeks left to sign up!
Join by September 19th to participate. With the recent cuts to tax credits and solar installations by the federal government taking effect in 2026, this could be your last chance to save big on solar for your home. The beauty of being a part of a solar cooperative is that you get to choose from several bids placed by solar installers to ensure you get the best deal on the right solar installation for you and your home. It’s solar, democratized!¬†

Last week, Grand Valley Power’s Board of Directors elections concluded with incumbents Gary De Young and Kyle Coltrinari returning to the board. They will be joined by newcomer Andrew Golike to serve a 3-year term.
We are excited to see Gary De Young continue to be a voice for Grand Valley Power member-owners, and want to congratulate him on his win, which was the result of his hard work throughout the campaign. He has shown dedication not only throughout his first term, but during his time in Grand Valley Power service-territory speaking directly with member-owners during the campaign. Our Alliance is all about putting community first, and Gary is a great example of what that looks like.
