Public Transportation

While many people think of public transit as a “city thing,” rural communities and residents increasingly need access to more public transit solutions. Whether it is service industry workers needing to travel multiple hours to access resort town jobs, seniors needing a ride to a medical appointment, students trying to get to the community center after school, or someone just needing a quick ride to get groceries without their car, rural communities benefit when there are effective public transit options available. Our Alliance is working in multiple communities to grow public support for the expansion of existing public transit systems or help build new ones.
