Rural communities in America are getting disproportionately hit by rising energy costs. But if you live in an area served by a rural electric co-op — and there’s a very strong chance you do, since more than 70% of the land mass of Colorado is rural electric coop territory — you can do something about it.

Our friends at the Rural Power Coalition have put together a free, virtual series of workshops for member-owners of rural electric cooperatives.

Still unsure if you are a member-owner? You can find out here.

The training will start on January 22 and continue once a week through February 12. If you have ever considered trying to organize around energy affordability issues at the utility scale, this training will offer some valuable skill and knowledge to get started.
