Attention, Grand Valley Power members!

Attention, Grand Valley Power members!

This is your last chance to make your voice heard in your energy future! The Grand Valley Power (GVP) Board of Directors election is taking place TOMORROW, August 3, at the GVP Annual Meeting starting at 5:30 pm at the CMU Campus’ Meyer Ballroom. It is now too late to mail in your ballot, so to return it, please drop your ballot off at the GVP Headquarters drop box by 4 pm on August 3, or you can attend the annual meeting to vote in person.

Western Colorado Alliance urges you to support Mike Moran and Tom Lake for seats on the board to be your energy champions, moving Grand Valley Power towards more locally produced clean energy to keep your energy bills low and our environment pristine.

Rural Electric Cooperative boards, like Grand Valley Power, have immense influence over how much we pay for our energy, what resources and incentives are provided for consumers, and where our energy portfolio comes from, be it gas and coal or solar and wind. In these elections, typically less than 10% of eligible voters participate, meaning you have an outsized voice in the direction of your energy future. We encourage your participation to ensure we are moving down the right path for Mesa County.
