Don’t miss the kickoff on Feb. 4!

When the community speaks, we listen! In fact, we’ve spent the last two years listening. And now we want to talk about what we’ve heard from you. At the Western Colorado Alliance of Garfield County Kickoff, we’ll be sharing what we learned from our communities’ stories during our deep listening campaign and our neighborhood meeting series.

These conversations are vital to community organizing. Understanding our communities keeps our work relevant and valuable. The next piece of the puzzle is to hear from you! Your voice matters and your perspective is needed to ensure Western Colorado Alliance of Garfield County launches a robust campaign in 2024.

So please join us on Sunday, February 4 at 2 pm in the Rifle Branch Library (207 East Ave., Rifle) and we’ll keep the listening going! You can sign up here! Childcare, Spanish interpretation, and snacks and refreshments will be provided.

About the author

Hanna worked as a geologist in the environmental industry for a decade before shifting her professional focus to community organizing. A huge fan of hiking and camping, she is always happiest outdoors. Her love of nature led to her studies and career in Earth science, but more recently she decided that she could better serve broad environmental interests, such as extractive industry practices, renewable energy, water conservation, and sustainable agriculture, by getting involved with her local community. She is excited for the opportunity to connect with people in Garfield County and help bring the various voices of the community together to create change that benefits all residents and preserves the beautiful Western Slope. In her free time she loves exploring new trails, gardening, and chasing around her two young children.
