Our Alliance is devoted to the notion that Western Colorado’s problems can be solved by building power with and within everyday people in our communities. “Building power” means:
- Winning on the issues we care about
- Fostering democratic values
- Building our organizations
- Teaching people about their own power
These goals are covered in the Western Organization of Resource Councils’ (WORC’s) Leadership Lab training series, a space for members from throughout the WORC network to explore the core concepts, theories, and practices of community organizing. (WORC is the parent organization of Western Colorado Alliance.) The next Leadership Lab training will be on “The Goals of Community Organizing,” and will be held on Tuesday, September 9, from 5-7 pm.
We invite you to experience the Leadership Lab for yourself! Register today to get the Zoom link!
If you have any questions about the event, please contact Sydney Ausen, WORC’s Leadership and Capacity Director, at sausen@worc.org. Or call (406) 672-1704.
This is a wonderful opportunity to grow your organizing “toolbox,” and we hope you’ll join us!
