This fall, voters will have the opportunity to vote on the Income Tax Fairness Act – Initiative 195 – which, if passed, will replace Colorado’s flat income tax system with a graduated tax structure that will lower income taxes for 97% of Coloradans and ensure that the wealthiest individuals and corporations in the state will pay their fair share. If passed, this Act is expected to raise more than $2 billion strictly for K-12 education, healthcare, and child care in our state.
We were able to get this initiative on the ballot ONLY because Coloradans stepped forward with passion and commitment to get the job done. And now, getting the initiative passed will require the same passion and commitment!
