Seeds of Community Action is our quarterly event, held at different locations around the Western Slope of Colorado, and is a great way to get better informed about our Alliance — like the groundbreaking work our members are doing to put Mesa County on the path toward affordable, sustainable, equitable and safe housing for ALL in our community!

Western Colorado Alliance in Garfield County Leadership Elections

Earlier this year we officially launched our local affiliate group, Western Colorado Alliance of Garfield County. Now it’s time to elect the Coordinating Committee who will lead our organizing work in Garfield County and uphold our vision: “Respectful, thriving, and equitable communities where residents are actively engaged in creating sustainable local policies and participating in civic and social activities that ensure a good quality of life is accessible for everyone in Garfield County.”

Southwest Arbor Fest

Mesa County Commissioners Meeting

On Tuesday, April 23, at 9 am, at the Mesa County Old Courthouse at 544 Rood Avenue in Grand Junction, the Mesa County Commissioners will be hearing the last public testimony before making a decision to pass the new land use codes for solar installations in Mesa County.

Clean and Renewable Energy Sustainability Team Meeting

Please join us on Monday, April 22, at 5 pm, at the Western Colorado Alliance main office located at 601 North 1st Street in Grand Junction, when our Clean and Renewable Energy Sustainability Team (CREST) will meet to discuss the current Mesa County land use codes and the County Commissioners meeting to be held the next day.
