I am Daniel Haas, Western Colorado Alliance’s legislative intern, filling in for Political & Organizing Director Jeriel Clark for this week’s legislative report.

As many may know, SB21-200 has been in the news recently, as Governor Polis has been threatening to veto should the bill pass. Due to this, some legislators have been more hesitant to support the bill. You can learn much more about SB21-200 by downloading this factsheet prepared by our friends at Conservation Colorado.

This bill would ensure that Colorado hits the goal of reducing our emissions 90% by 2050 — something that is vital to a sustainable future for our great state. To help this bill, there are three easy actions you can take:

About the author

Daniel is a local Colorado Mesa University student, born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado. He’s hugely active in student government and as a mentor, and is majoring in Political Science, with minors in History and Classical Studies.
