At the January 23 Uncompahgre Valley Association meeting, Lori Syme and Cynthia Harwood volunteered to co-chair a new Sustainable Communities Committee. They have set the first meeting for Friday, February 10^th at 10:00am at the Coffee Traders Conference Room in Montrose.

Please call one of them if you are interested in being involved in this committee even if you can’t make it to this meeting.  Some potential topics already suggested include recycling, a plastic bag ban, a dark skies initiative and starting a TimeBank.
