We’re talking soil synergy!

We’re talking soil synergy!

soil and earthworms

Soil is a non-renewable resource and its preservation is essential for food security and vibrant ecosystems. Our members are looking at the hidden world beneath their feet to find solutions that will help our communities to be healthy, just and self-reliant long into the future.

  • Soils store and filter water, improving our resilience to floods and droughts.
  • Soils help combat and adapt to climate change by storing carbon.
  • Soils host a quarter of our planet’s biodiversity.
  • Sustainable soil management could produce up to 58% more food.
  • And so much more!

Attend the 2020 Western Colorado Food & Farm Forum to learn, get inspired and put sustainable soil practices to work wherever you are. Hosted by Valley Food Partnership, this year’s forum is all about soil! Attend a variety of workshops and hear from keynote speaker and regenerative agriculture author/teacher, Nicole Masters.

Registration closes January 10!

What our Alliance has planned in 2020:

  • Soil Crawls: Hosted by farmers/ranchers/enthusiasts on-site to get our hands dirty and learn about a variety of regenerative agriculture practices.
  • Soil 101 Workshops: What the heck is in our soil? What makes soil healthy? Why is it important? What can we do? Answers to these and more.
