Warm up your voting pen!

Warm up your voting pen!

As the General Election is ramping up and November approaches, don’t forget to warm up your voting pen by casting your vote for the Grand Valley Power Board of Directors elections! Election Day is August 8 which is just ONE WEEK AWAY, and in these very low-turnout elections, every vote holds significant weight — so don’t miss out!

By voting in your Grand Valley Power elections, you can choose board members to represent you who will fight to keep costs low and be forward-thinking leaders in West Slope Energy. Your vote will influence some key decisions that will soon be made, such as hiring a new CEO and how the transition from the contract with Xcel Energy to Guzman Energy will play out, including how much energy we generate locally.

All Grand Valley Power member-owners should have received a ballot in the mail, which can be returned either by mailing it back (it must arrive on or before August 8 to count!), dropping it off at the secure drop box at GVP’s main office (845 22 Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81505) during business hours, or attending the annual meeting on August 8 at the Colorado Mesa University Myer Ballroom (1455 N 12th St, Grand Junction, CO 81501) and casting your vote in person. And don’t forget — you can find more information on the election at our website!
