“The best one in years!”

“The best one in years!”

Western Colorado Alliance enjoyed one of its most successful events in years with this year’s Mountainfilm On Tour – Grand Junction presentation at the Avalon Theatre in downtown Grand Junction on November 21!

The crowd started forming as soon as doors opened at 5:30 pm.

Our Alliance’s biggest “friend raiser” of the year was again free to attend, although a $15 donation was recommended. It soon became apparent we would have considerably more people attend than at last year’s event.

The Happy Hour before the films gave attendees the opportunity visit with their friends and other Alliance members, talk to sponsors who were present at the Avalon, listen to the music provided by local duo R&B, and make bids in the Silent Auction.

It was great seeing our members' smiling faces during the Happy Hour!

Representatives from two of our Summit sponsors, Atlasta Solar and Alpine Bank, were on hand to meet with attendees before the films.

Bidding in the Silent Auction was hot and heavy!
The auditorium started filling up pretty quickly. Final tally: More than 420 people showed up for Mountainfilm On Tour – Grand Junction this year!

Western Colorado Alliance would like to sincerely thank our wonderful sponsors, the many fine, local shops and companies which donated items for our Silent Auction, all the volunteers who helped mount the event, and of course, every beautiful person who showed up that night! Thank you, one and all, for supporting healthy, just, and self-reliant communities in Western Colorado!
