Western Colorado Alliance is very happy to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors!
Acting Secretary
Adriane has a background in accounting and business administration. Prior to moving to Grand Junction, she trained to become an Iowa Master Naturalist, and she has since devoted her professional and volunteer work to conservation and supporting a sustainable future. In addition to the Western Colorado Alliance board, Adriane volunteers weekly as a Monument Steward.
Director-At-Large
Born and raised in Grand Junction, Haley earned a BA from the University of Denver in 2016, double majoring in Emergent Digital Practices and Applied Computing. Haley is a graphic design and marketing professional, currently working for The Art Center of Western Colorado as the Design and Communications Manager. Years of ballet, music, and fine art have instilled in her a love for the arts, and specifically, how the arts can enrich lives and foster community. Haley enjoys dancing and spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and skiing.
Director-At-Large
Barbara joined the Board in 2022. She has lived in NW Colorado since 2005, attracted by the inter-mountain west landscape, wildlife and outdoor recreation. The opportunity to pivot to her passion for the natural world was embraced following a Ph.D. in chemistry and serial careers as a research scientist at the NIH and a research and development engineer in the semiconductor industry. She has worked vigorously on issues including public lands management, regulations for oil and gas development to protect communities and the environment, protections for clean air/water and wildlife habitat and the transition to clean transportation and power generation. That work has included serving on the NW Colorado BLM Resource Advisory Council (2011-2017), the Alliance oil & gas team, as lead on the WORC oil & gas campaign team, and Transportation Commissioner for NW CO.
