Fabulous workshops at the Annual Conference!
We told you last week about the plenary workshop at our upcoming 43rd Annual Conference on August 26 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Grand Junction. But that’s not the only workshop we’ll be offering! In our second workshop block of the day, we’ll be holding another three workshops. Since the theme of this year’s conference is Leveling Up!!!, each of our workshops will try to move you up a level as an informed Alliance member and organizer. Take your pick from:
LEVEL 1: QUEST FOR CHANGE!
In this workshop, we’ll gain a deeper understanding of the diverse and complex organizing movements, explore the challenges and opportunities inherent in this landscape, and discover why our work is essential on the West Slope map of social change.
LEVEL 2: POWER MOVES!
In this workshop, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and tools to select strategic campaigns that can drive real impact. Join us as we delve into the essential elements that define a successful campaign within our Alliance.
LEVEL 3: BEATING THE BOSS!
Explore how narratives influence perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors, and how they can be harnessed as a powerful tool for change. We’ll practice the art of narrative jiu-jitsu, where you’ll wield the skill of reframing narratives to better control the message surrounding important issues.

Arn's career includes more than 35 years of experience in broadcast media, online advertising and branding in both Western Colorado and New York City. He is a four-time Colorado Broadcast Award winner and has also won multiple Colorado Press Association Awards. Arn also teaches Film Expression at the college level. He lives with a dramatic pit bull and a grandiose cat and enjoys painting, animating, and exploring cinema in his spare time.
