Recently, the BLM released the draft Resource Management Plan (RMP) for the Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area (DENCA) for public review and will be accepting comments until August 22. This RMP will impact key decisions regarding biological resources, cultural resources, wilderness, recreation, travel management, livestock grazing, and special designations such as wild and scenic rivers.
This plan will guide management decisions for the NCA for the next 20 years, so now is the time to shape a management plan that will honor the wilderness values and cultural resources WCC has worked hard to protect and promote!
The BLM will host two RMP open house meetings on DENCA:
The purpose of these open houses is to provide the public with the opportunity to talk to BLM staff and learn about the draft RMP and how to provide comments!
