As politicians debate the federal budget this month, Western Colorado has much at stake. From programs supporting local farmers and ranchers to public land management, water infrastructure projects, and basic services such as rural health care, our communities will be dramatically impacted by the decisions made in Washington.
Join Western Colorado Alliance on Thursday April 24 at 6pm at the Moss Performing Arts Center for an evening with West Slope leaders and experts representing different stakeholders impacted by recent federal budget and personnel cuts. Topics will cover health care, water issues, agriculture, outdoor recreation, energy, and other critical sectors that define life in Western Colorado.
Panelists will address the current and future impacts these cuts will have in our communities through a series of questions from moderator Dr. Tim Casey, as well as questions from our audience.
Panelists include:
Steve Wolff , General Manager of the Southwestern Water Conservation District
Sarah Shrader, founder of the Outdoor Recreation Coalition of the Grand Valley
Dr. Mike Pramenko, President of the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians
Kent Blackwell , Chief Admin Officer of the Delta Montrose Electric Association
