This Saturday, Western Slope Youth Voter Initiative students partnered with NAMI Western Slope during their Ending the Silence 5K event to thank Colorado State Legislators for passing HB19-1120 Mental Health Education Suicide & Prevention along with three other bills focused on mental health for students. They awarded Western Colorado legislators Representative Dylan Roberts (D-D26) and Senator Don Coram (R-SD6), along with Representative Dafna Michaelsen Jenet (D-D30), Senator Stephen Fenberg (D-SD18), and Representative Deneya Esgar (D-D46) certificates of appreciation for championing youth mental health issues during the 2019 legislative session.

About the author
