Farm Tour – Cedar Springs Farm
August 5 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
On August 5 we are venturing to Hotchkiss to visit Cedar Springs Farm! Join us from 10 am to 12 pm at 14251 Rapid Creek Rd.
Jake Takiff, the owner and farmer of this 40 acre property, uses earthworks and permaculture elements like swales and ponds to slow the movement of water across the land and ensure access to moisture despite a lack of traditional irrigation. By growing a food forest and raising hogs, they are able to create a lush, abundant property with minimal inputs.
Come learn how Jake designed and manages his property to create a healthy and resilient landscape!
